A short Video made by Ellen a few years ago of one of her songs
Ellens first album entitled “Ghost Town Lady”, was self financed and contained 12 of her own songs. Landing a recording contract in 1979 with Aussie company Selection Records Ellen headed into the recording studio to record her second album entitled “Outlaw”. Selection Eric Wboss atson said he was drawn to her uniquely Australian style. She went on to record a further album called “Runnin’ Free” plus being featured on numerous compilation albums. Her music has reached as far field as New Zealand, France and other parts of Europe. In 1979 Ellen won the prestigious Lachlan Vintage Village award at the Parkes/ Forbes country music festival in NSW. In the same year she was one of the five finalists at the Tamworth Golden Guitar Awards In 1985 Ellen married and set off around Australia again, with her husband Wayne, this time they were hostess and driver for a coach and four-wheel drive touring company. Swapping the stage and footlights for singing around the campfire under the stars, was just what this girl from Bendigo needed to breathe new life into her song writing and her paintings.
Nowadays Ellen, a mother of a young teenager, is still painting and singing and currently writing a script for a play or film called "The Bushrangers "
